Liberating The Under Previlage
Proposal for Technical, Financial and Logistics Support for the underprevilaged children and their direct care givers in deprived communities via career training and development (Small Medium and Micro Enterprises Concept)
And the development of tourism in the selected pilot zones towards, the eradication of health and poverty hazards for sustainability in the Gauteng, Eastern Cape and Mpumalanga provinces.
History
Akweni Project Management has a non-profit wing (AKWENI CARES), which assists a faith-based specializing in psycho-social and spiritual care, counseling and training, as well as a physical support started in 2006.(HospiVision Oasis).
As part of our CSI (Corporate Social Investment) Projects, we support many institutions by giving a time, finances and energy in making the lives of the less fortunate better. We would like to provide services that would help private donors, sponsors and various individuals who gave up their time and services to help move the vision of this establishment forward, these services are:
- Providing emotional, social, spiritual and physical support and trauma counselling to patients and families in hospita.l
- Support for people living with HIV &AIDS and their families as well as training for care-givers.
- Supporting children in health crisis and infected or affected by HIV &AIDS n the family.
- Supporting medical & paramedical personnel and care-givers through special programs.
- Facilitating a valuable volunteer services program to assist in the above.
- Providing training for those who wish to become involved in caring and/or wish to start their own ministry.
We want to also:
- Support and expansion of Pastoral.
- Support of the Children’s Ministry (Children’s Care Train).
Pilot Zones
Akweni Cares has significant value for deprived communities and therefore has mapped its pilot zones accordingly.
The Scramble for Education
In South Africa today, the crave for equality education, is only centred on a cross-section of lucky children.
To be sincere, education has become a ‘Gold Mine’, thus making it impossible for the poor/needy children in our society to partake or share in its benefits.
Pathetically, though lots of these down liners are very smart, very intelligent and very eager to learn, they are completely cut off from the education ladder without any sort of live hood.
Honestly, this situation ironically only gives birth to undesirable hazards such as teenage Pregnancy, Child abuse, Street life, HIV/AIDS, Drugs, Gangsterism and many others.
Why Akweni Cares?
Two decades ago, around the world, parents and close family members were looked upon as custodians and the only source of responsibility to the growing child.
Unfortunately, this situation has changed so drastically-family norms have been greatly disrupted and the effects on both children and parents are very devastating.
Notwithstanding this, all children need proper parenting, proper care and proper support in order to survive and thrive.
Globally, it is now an established fact that the validity of biological parenting is strongly being questionable!!
Caring, protecting and promoting the best interest of the child should therefore not be seen as a threat, but as a concern and challenge to our society and the world as a whole.
In this manner, the quest for directing education and developing the child therefore, should become an accepted and an established norm across the world.
Providing adequate support for parents, families and “Care-Givers”, who then transfer direct care and support to the child, is another important area of focus for Akweni Cares.
While recognizing the fact that correct and adequate support for families requires systematic approach, a key component in supporting the family is to find appropriate ways to work with parents/Direct Care Givers.
At Akweni Cares, it is therefore our concern and duty to solve and resolve the challenges of the child direct from the ROOT yes; we attract the problems from the right direction!
The Solution Syndrome
Akweni Cares came as a mediator to protect, secure, preserve, educate and develop the vulnerability in our targeted pilot zones and South Africa as a whole.
Akweni Cares has therefore deemed it very necessary to come in as a Consolidated Consultancy Channel a solution Centre, enhancing the educational and developmental challenges of the
underprivileged children, and their Direct care Givers through Education , Small Medium and Micro Enterprise (SMME) concept, for the eradication of poverty and health hazards.
Development of Tour Attractions and Facilities
Additional, Tourism being the second in income generation for mother South Africa, and the world as a whole, Akweni Cares strongly believes that developing the natural assets in the targeted pilot zones, would be beneficial to the underprivileged children and their Direct Care Givers.
We therefore, see it as a challenge and a variable investment in developing some of the tourist attractions in the deprived communities to enhance sustainability.
The above entrepreneurial concepts, well synchronized actually came as a wake up signal, to uplift and liberate the poor/needy in our society. Thus, grooming our member groups with love, empathy, social ethics leadership and developmental ideas thereby, awakening them from their slumber and helping them discover their talents through skilful vocations. This ‘life’ long program is there to bridge the socio economic gap and to bring sustainability to the poor/needy.

The member groups of Akweni Cares are classified into four major categories:

Thus their awareness becomes more broadened about the various careers and their benefits, kindling their zeal furthers in education and development, the program also covers creativity, innovations and initiatives, making the learners more mature in their future endeavours.
Packing labelling, advertising, agency building, marketing, public relations and banking trails, are considered as vital pillars of this benevolent program.
In conclusion, time management, social ethics, health regulations insurance and labour laws are thoroughly spelt out in the various career departments.

Since the vision of Akweni Cares is to battle and wipe out the venom of poverty and its related non effects, this foundation is non denominational, non racist, non partisan, non profitable and non political- AKWENI CARES is purely for humanization.

Akweni Cares has recruited some companies in joining them to assist Hospivision Oasis by donating items to Hospivision. These companies are Boxer Store -Van der Walt Pretoria, Fruit Stop - Gezina Pretoria, Ngage Public Relations and Fifth Quadrant.
Akweni Supports Hospivision Oasis at Tshwane District Hospital
Akweni Cares is currently assisting Hospivision Oasis at the Tshwane District Hospital to attain food, goods and used clothes, and from other companies. These items are for patients that are affected by HIV & AIDS, orphans, vulnerable children and their families.
